Jaffna Chamber introduces job bank by Ramani Kangaraarachchi The Jaffna Chamber of Commerce will hold a job bank on the request of the business community in Jaffna. Chairman, Jaffna Chamber of Commerce S. Jayasekaran said that the business community has apprised him about the large number of employment opportunities in their organisations for educated and uneducated youth and their difficulties in finding suitable applicants. As a result the chamber has undertaken to operate a job bank linking the two parties. Accordingly, the Chamber began calling for applications last week and those applications will be processed after September 20. The business community could make inquiries from October 1 to find suitable applicants. Among the vacancies available the majority are for accounts clerks, general clerks, salesmen, labourers, computer operators and technicians, Jayasekaran said. |
