Capital market goes to The 7th Frontier

The 7th Frontier continues its emergence as a top communications strategist in the capital market with the success of marketing yet another financial instrument. A small and wholly local outfit at Guildford Crescent, The 7th Frontier has vied for the slot of the most sought after ad agency in marketing financial issues such as IPOs and debentures, during the last 3 years.

The latest addition to the agency's growing portfolio in the capital market saw Nawaloka Hospitals IPO being overwhelmingly oversubscribed by three times on the opening day. Considering that many IPOs expected in the market have been deferred and the Nawaloka Issue has been the first for quite sometime, it was a real test not just for the client but for the whole market as a whole, said Dinesh Watawana, head of The 7th Frontier.

"We have been around for three years and it makes mine a very proud team just knowing that only one other agency - a top international name has matched our gains in the capital market", he said.

The agency secured all its top jobs through competitive pitches involving some of the better-known names in the industry, highlighting its aptitude for creating a strategic and creative platform that brings a refreshingly new dimension to financial advertising.

Among the high-profile jobs handled by The 7th Frontier is the massive debenture issue for HNB, which took the market by storm.

An award winning international correspondent and having worked with some leading ad agencies Watawana leads a youthful team. Among other jobs won by the agency include assignments for Sri Lanka Cricket, Aitken Spence, World Vision, LB Finance, ACBT and Browns while HNB continues to lead the agency portfolio.
