The Colombo Bourse went through a technical correction yesterday due to profit taking. The market warranted a technical correction since indices recorded gains during the last few days.

According to stock brokers, SLT shares recovered towards the end of trading bringing indices marginally up. The All Share Price Index dipped to 1,440.05 points from 1,451.84 on Monday.

The Milanka Price Index decreased to 2,136.26 points 2,152.84 . The turnover for the day was Rs 215,656,77.

The market is expected to experience more buying in the coming few days. Domestic purchase were Rs 188,107,219 million and foreign purchases Rs 21,466,649 million.
