India to raise terror infrastructure issue with Pakistan

New Delhi, Monday (PTI)

India will raise the issue of infrastructural facilities being provided to militant groups like Lashker-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed in Pakistan by certain fundamentalist groups during the two-day Indo-Pak talks on terrorism and narcotics beginning on August 10.

The Indian side would be represented by Union Home Secretary Dhirendra Singh. official sources said.

Singh will be accompanied by a delegation of officials from Home and External affairs Ministry and Narcotics department.

During the parleys, India is expected to convey New Delhi's concerns vis-a-vis cross-border terrorism and infiltration, as also infrastructural facilities being given to terrorists in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir by certain fundamentalist groups, the sources said.

Singh is likely to apprise his Pakistani counterpart about the activities of militant groups like Lashker-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed in Jammu and Kashmir and other parts of the country. Controlling drug-trafficking from Afghanistan via Pakistan would also be taken up by the two sides, the sources said.
