'Import and export procedures for international trading' The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce will conduct a one-day seminar on "Import and Export Procedures for International Trading" on Monday, August 23 at the Trans Asia Hotel. The business community will benefit from this seminar, which is a part of the Ceylon Chamber's efforts to identify and address the needs for understanding the procedures involved in import and export. The topics to be addressed by resource personnel, which includes Superintendents from the Sri Lanka Customs are: Import Procedures; Export Procedures; Bonding and Warehousing Procedures; Air Cargo Procedures; Specific Procedures concerning import and export related to BOI Companies and Automated Cargo Clearing System-EDI (Electronic Data Interchange). Two resource persons from the Department of Commerce will speak on Issuance of General System of Preferences (EU-GSP) Certificates and Certificate of Origin under the Indo-Lanka Free Trade Agreement (FTA). |
