IAA-SL lecture series to improve quality of Lanka's advertising The International Advertising Association - Sri Lankan Chapter - (IAA-SL) will hold a seminar entitled 'Beyond Advertising: Taking Creative Ideas To The Whole Wide World' in cooperation with acclaimed advertising creativity advocate and trainer Ram Kapoor of Beyond Advertising in Singapore, on August 9 at 5.30 p.m. at the Colombo Plaza. The seminar will focus on ways of breaking away from traditional communication in Sri Lanka. It will be of immense value to advertising and marketing professionals, and would especially familiarise them with the know-how needed to survive in today's competitive environment. This interactive one-day course is a part of the IAA-SL's continuing efforts to raise the bar of creative excellence in Sri Lankan advertising. Towards this goal, Ram Kapoor's seminar will be the first of many aimed to reach a higher quality of Sri Lankan creativity through international advertising exchanges such as this. A member of Beyond Advertising in Singapore, Ram Kapoor is a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology. He has also done his Masters Degree at the Indian Institute of Management after which he gave it all up to join the world of advertising as a copywriter. The International Advertising Association (IAA) is the global partnership of marketing communications professionals embracing advertisers, agencies, media and specialist services. Founded in 1938 as the Export Advertising Association, with a membership of 67 at the end of that year; the association was renamed the International Advertising Association in 1953, and has evolved into the only global marketing communications partnership with over 3,400 members in 86 countries. |
