PC, WPC killed in grenade blast by Sarath Malalasekera A Police Constable and a Woman PC were killed when a constable exploded a hand grenade inside the Narahenpita Police garage yesterday. The Constable had arrived from Batticaloa early yesterday concealing the grenade on his person. Colombo DIG Sirisena Herath said a love affair was probably at the bottom of the incident. No one else was hurt in the incident which occurred around 2.30 pm. Police are conducting further investigations. |
