National Academy of Sciences to induct five new fellows

The National Academy of Sciences of Sri Lanka will induct five new Fellows at the Induction Ceremony which will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday July 23 at Vidya Mandiraya (SLAAS Headquarters), Wijerama Road, Colombo.

The current president of the Academy, Dr. W. W. D. Modder, said that the induction ceremony, which will be held later this month will formally induct the five Fellows who were elected at the last annual general meeting of the academy held in January this year.

Those elected to this distinguished position were Eng. H. A. D. P. M. Gunasekera, Dr. Ravi Pereira, Prof. D. T. B. Tennakoon, Prof. Mirani V. Weerasooriya and Dr. Eric Wickramanayake.
