Nihal Hettiarachchi has been appointed chairman of BCC Lanka Limited.

Hettiarachchi, a successful businessman in Sri Lanka has been responsible for the development and management of a number of private ventures over the last 30 years. He has extensive business experience, particularly in areas of automotive, tourism and agriculture related industries in Asia and has acquired a global exposure in business.

Hettiarachchi, an alumni of Dharmapala Vidyalaya, Pannipitiya began to develop his career in business in France and Japan.

Currently Hettiarachchi serves as the Chairman of Ruhunu 2001 Multivision (Pvt) Limited (Comet Cable TV), Osni Lanka (Pvt) Limited and as a Director of Oyatsu Lanka (Pvt) Limited that produces biscuits under "Sunbix".
