Gains at Bourse

The Colombo Bourse started on a fresh note yesterday after experiencing a breakdown in its Automated Trading System (ATS) on Wednesday. Transactions recorded gains with the All Share Price Index increasing to 1,330.90 points from 1,326.48 points on Wednesday. The Milanka Price Index was up at 2,007.12 points from 1,995.60.The day's turnover was Rs 130,511,657.

According to stock brokers, the positive sentiment continued to remain unchanged. The market also experienced buying interest on NDB shares and DFCC.

Mullers,Blue Diamonds, SLT and Ashot Properties were heavily traded stocks.

Domestic purchases were Rs 2,399 million and foreign purchases Rs 113 million. Industrial Asph, Mullers, Colonial MTR, Metal Recycles and Madusima were the top five gainers.
