Govt. to look into LTTE charges against State Media Information and Media Minister Mangala Samaraweera said yesterday that the Government will look into the LTTE's charges against Government media institutes for alleged exagerating events in the East. The Minister said the Government considers the situation in the East as an internal conflict of the LTTE, and said the Government expects the LTTE would resolve it among themselves. Responding to questions by media personnel, the Minister said the Government cannot comment on the Eastern situation since things were happening in uncleared areas in the East. The reports received by the Government were mostly exaggerated ones, he added. "The competition between media institutes have exagerated the situation in the East," the Minister added. |
