Lake House Lantern exhibition

Information and Media Minister Reginald Cooray will switch on the lighting system of the Lake House Vesak Lantern Exhibition, today at 6.30 p.m. This Lantern Competition is jointly organized for the 15th successive year under the joint sponsorship of the "Dinamina", "Silumina", "Budusarana" and"Daily News" newspapers of the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited.

Tomorrow (May 5) Power and Energy Minister Susil Premajayantha will switch on the lights at 6.30 p.m.

The lantern competition carries cash prizes, Rs. 125,000 for the winner, Rs. 75,000 for the first runner-up and Rs. 50,000 for the second runner-up. These prizes will be awarded to the winners under the patronage of Minister Susil Premajayantha on May 5 at 7 p.m.

The Lake House management and the Buddhist Association will conduct a ginger and coriander "Dansela" opposite the Lake House. Lake House employees will render a "Bhakthi Geetha" recital opposite Lake House on both days.
