Sri Lanka Telecom annual report receives recognition The annual report of Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) for the year 2002 was presented with the Runners-up award - in the service sector category - in the Annual Report Awards Ceremony conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants this year. SLT received this honour after competing against 100 companies over 17 categories. This is the third consecutive year, SLT has received recognition in this prestigious category as it was named the Runners-up for the same in 2001 and Winner in 2000 (in the category - new Companies incorporates after April 1, 1996 and Unquoted Companies). This honour for SLT was a direct outcome of the hard work put in by its Finance and the Corporate Strategy Teams. Each year The Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA) recognises the year's best Annual Reports in Sri Lanka, with the goal of acknowledging the best financial practices and reporting procedures companies adhere in organisational management. The ICA evaluation process for the selection of the winners guided by International Accounting Standards and each entry is judged by three separate panel of judges - a technical evaluation team, industry specialist team and an overall panel. |
