Emirates offers customers better rewards for booking online

Emirates customers booking flights online can look forward to even better rewards this year, with the launch of a new Skywards Miles incentive offer.

Customers who go online at www.emirates.com and book First Class, Business and Economy Class tickets earn 150, 125 and 75 per cent more miles than they would normally be entitled to.

By this, a customer who's a member of Skywards, the frequent flyer program of Emirates and SriLankan Airlines, when booking a return First Class flight from Dubai to London online, will receive 6,828 miles and the First Class bonus of 6,828, plus a bonus of 10,242 for booking online. The grand total of 23,898 Skywards Miles can be used for free flights or gifted to family and friends.

Emirates' Executive Vice President Commercial Operations Worldwide Ghaith Al Ghaith, said: "Last June, we relaunched our Internet booking facility, with better, more user-friendly features, and offered double the Skywards Miles usually earned, in an awareness drive to our customers.

"We now offer the online booking facility in 23 countries and we're planning to introduce it in other countries, notably China and the USA when we start services there within the next few months.

We hope that this incentive for earning Skywards Miles will attract new customers to book with us online," he said.

He said: "Online booking is a convenient way to receive tickets and saves time and money for customers and Emirates.

We realise that it will never totally replace the work of our partner travel agents who provide an invaluable service to our customers who rely on them to advise them on destinations, to guide them to the best offers and to help them plan their itineraries."
