Indices fluctuate at Bourse

Interest in trading at the Colombo Bourse waned yesterday with all indices fluctuating in a narrowed band. The All Share Price Index dropped to 1,209.60 points yesterday compared to 1,212.23 points, the previous day and the Milanka Price Index shed 1,859.92 points from 1,863.95 points on Wednesday. The turnover increased to Rs 119,322,946 from Rs 66,815,698 .

According to Stock Brokers, yesterday's market was sensitive towards "the political drama" that occurred in parliament.

SLT, Nations Trust, Aitken Spence and Colombo Land were the highest traded stocks. Domestic purchases were Rs. 49,510,346 and foreign purchases Rs. 69,772,600.
