Triple murder sends shockwaves in Wadduwa by Asanga Warnakulasuriya The triple murder of a young couple and a 14-year-old boy in broad daylight has sent shockwaves among the public in Wadduwa, Police said. According to Wadduwa Police, Ruwan Priyashantha 32 and his wife Kumari 18, were travelling on a motor cycle along with Kumari's 14-year-old brother Lasantha when two men had shot at them. They were returning home after a bath in a nearby river, Police said. Investigations revealed that the gunmen had come in a three-wheeler and had fired three shots using a T56. Police have linked the murder to underworld gang rivalry and possible revenge killing of a rival gang member in Kalutara North. |
