Sri Lanka Army 'A' clinched the Cup championship when they beat Havelocks SC 'A' by 33 points to 21 in the SLRFU inter club rugby sevens tournament played for the Lt. General Denzil Kobbekaduwa memorial trophy at the Royal College Sports Complex, Reid Avenue yesterday.

The winners collected their points from four goals and one try having led 26-7 at half time.

The Havies responded with three goals. Earlier in the semifinals Sri Lanka Army 'A' trounced CH and FC 'A' by a massive 65 points to 5 while Havelocks edged out Police 'A' by ten points to 5.

Sri Lanka Air Force SC 'A' put up a fine performance to take the Bowl championship with a hard fought 17 points to 10 win over Sri Lanka Army 'B' in the final. The Air Force SC 'B' team also made it to the Bowl final but went down to Old Zahirians SC 'A' by 43 points to 21 points in the final.

Petersons 'A' had the consolation of winning the Shield championship as they defeated Old Zahirians SC 'B' by 17 points to 7 in the final.
