'We didn't do anything different' says Dyson

Sri Lanka coach John Dyson defended his team's batting performance and said that they didn't do anything different to Australia.

"It's as plain as the nose on my face that both teams struggled on the wicket today, the world champions and us. Neither team did any better than the other.

Today was a lively wicket. Because of yesterday's rain it had some life and seam on it and both teams struggled on it. That's the truth about the matter," said Dyson.

"The batsmen today had a very difficult job to do and they had a decision to make.

The decision was do we sit here and try and survive the day or do we take the attack to the opposition? A couple of players did that and it was unfortunate they got out. I admire their courage for attempting to score runs and take the initiative away from the bowlers. But they missed out. Today was bowlers day," he said.

"From here onwards we've got to play hard cricket."
