Freedom Polls Watch condemns abuse of State owned vehicles

The Freedom Polls Watch has condemned the continued abuse of State owned vehicles by UNP Ministers for election-related work.

Polls Watch Convenor M.M. Zuhair, P.C. in a media release said that among those misusing State vehicles for election work, the following among other Ministers have been identified:

Gamini Jayawickrema Perera - Kurunegala, Lakshman Kiriella - Kandy, Bandula Gunawardene - Colombo, Rauff Hakeem - Ampara and Sagala Ratnayake - Matara.

The numbers and other details of the vehicles being abused have been furnished to the Inspector General of Police Indra de Silva for immediate action, the Polls Watch said in the media release.

Meanwhile the details of misuse of State vehicles by other candidates were being compiled, the Freedom Polls Watch announced.
