The journal provides pluralist platform South Asian Journal The South Asian Journal is an academic and topical quarterly magazine published by the South Asian Free Media Association (SAFMA) - an independent and mainstream media body - which promotes dialogue and the exchange of ideas in a healthy, democratic and informed manner across the nations and peoples of South Asia. The journal provides a pluralist platform for a serious and informed analysis of all that is crucial to the development of the people, the nation-states and the region as a whole and engages the best minds to share their thoughts with those who matter in policy and public opinion making, as well as the representatives of civil society. Apart from commissioning specific articles in each, issue from well-known writers, the journal encourages and invites serious and analytical, though not 'purely' academic, contributions from policy makers, academics, journalists and activists writing on the region. The journal welcomes contributions in the form of articles, comments and letters. The current issue has an array of interesting articles including "Security paradigm as mirage", "Rights in conflict situations", "India's strategic interests," Sri Lanka: Confrontation to accommodation," "The Tamil question," and "Kashmir: Past, present and future". - RS **** Back **** |
