US ICT sector Strategy Guru to help local companies exploit global ICT opportunities Abhishek Jain, a US based venture capitalist and strategy guru with practical experience in guiding many offshore technology and business process outsourcing companies to exploit global opportunities will conduct a two-day workshop this month for Sri Lanka's top ICT companies. Jain's visit is organised and sponsored by the Software Exporters Association (SEA) with the assistance of the Sri Lanka Information and Communications Technologies Association (SLICTA) and ConceptNursery, Sri Lanka's first technology and business incubator. The workshop titled "Global ICT Opportunities - Strategies! Exploit!" will cover topics such as: strategic planning; marketing; selection of strategic alliance partners; effective presentations; and other key elements of business development in the overseas markets from a practical perspective. Participants will also have a chance to meet with Jain on a private basis later in the week to cover business development strategies specifically tailored for their companies. Jain is the CEO of Washington Technology Partners (WTP), a venture capital firm based in Washington, D.C. He sits on the Boards of a variety of technology companies, as well as serves as a Governor-appointed member of the Board of the Virginia Biotechnology Research Park Authority and the Technology Advisory Board to the Lieutenant Governor. |
