Lankan juniors in comfortable victory Sri Lanka School U-15 cricketers who are playing Malaysia in a tournament gained a comfortable 71 run win over Malaysian schools U-15 team at Bayumas Oval, Kuala Lumpur yesterday. Uditha Liyanage was the top scorer for Lankan team with a polished 52, while R. Thirimanna (35) and Prashan Ranasuriya (38) made valuable contributions. Elani Rahaman took 4/35. In reply Malaysian XI managed only 112 in 39.4 overs. Suhail Suhaib top scored with 28 n.o. The skipper of the visiting team Sachith Pathirana was most successful with the ball claiming 3/29 while he had good support coming from Lahiru Weragoda 2/18 and Ashan Priyanjan 2/14.
