CP easily Central Province clinched the inter provincial cricket tournament when they defeated North Central Province by 176 runs in the final played at the R. Premadasa Stadium yesterday. North Central Province were dismissed for 197 runs in their second innings with paceman Nuwan Soysa claiming four wickets for 36 runs. He was well supported by off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan and Hasantha Fernando. Akalanka Ganegama batting at number ten was the top scorer for the North Central Province team with a hard hit 42.
