Felicitations to Iran

Felicitation message from the President on the occasion of the National Day of the Islamic Republic of Iran which falls today.

His Excellency Mr. Seyyed Muhammad Katami, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Your Excellency,

I have great pleasure in extending to Your Excellency and through you to the people of Iran my sincere good wishes and warm congratulations and those of the people and Government of Sri Lanka on the occasion of the National Day of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

I firmly believe that the bonds of friendly relations existing between our two countries will be further strengthened and consolidated in the years to come for the mutual benefit of our two countries. Please accept, Your Excellency, my best wishes for your good health, happiness and personal well-being and for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of Iran.
