R. B. Piyatissa of Nilpanagoda, Minuwangoda needs surgery to remove a lump in his gullet. His consultant surgeon Dr. Ganesharatnam recommends surgery at the Nawaloka Hospital, Colombo. The surgery will cost Rs. 300,000 which the patient says he cannot afford.

He seeks public assistance for this purpose.
