Gains at Bourse

The Colombo Bourse received gains at yesterday's trading with the All Share Index increasing to 1,211.11 points from 1,197.34 points on Thursday. Milanka Index too spiralled to 2,169.65 points from 2,136.02 points.

The turnover for the day was Rs. 112,270,343 million. Turnover on Thursday stood at Rs. 99,057,619 million. SLT, Asian Hotels, JKH, Nations Trust, NDB Bank and Lanka Venture were the largest contributors to the market.

Domestic Purchase was dealt for Rs. 1,250 million. Foreign Purchase was Rs. 74 million. Browns, Colombo Land, Ceylon Glass Co, Stafford and Coco Lanka were the top five gainers.

Lanka Orix Leasing and Lanka Walltile acquired 7.5 percent second interim and 12.5 percent interim dividends.
