An agreement between the Government of Sri Lanka and the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of military-technical co-operation, was signed at the Ministry of Defence yesterday. L. D. C. Herath, Secretary, Ministry of Defence, signed on behalf of the Sri Lankan Government while the Deputy Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Dmitriev, signed on behalf of the Government of the Russian Federation. A Ministry of Defence press release states: signing of this agreement lays the foundation for co-operation between the two governments for the supply of military hardware required by the Sri Lankan Government for training facilities. |
