Airman Sujith was placed second in the first stage held in Anuradhapura. Krishan Sampath the winner at Anuradhapura will have a tough time task of covering up 25 seconds to reach the top. He has to work hard to achieve this. As the other competitors too have done well to be within the top ten. With Matara experiencing strong winds and flat roads it is difficult to predict the outcome in today's final stage of the Jayodha Racing Cycle event in Matara. The event organised by Development Lotteries Board is conducted by the Interim Committee for Cycling. Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Ltd (Lake House) and Rupavahini Corporation have come forward as Media sponsors for the three-day event. Mountain Biking Association of Sri Lanka too have joined the event and are conducting events for U-16 boys and U-19 boys, and girls and an open event to attract young ones to the sport. |
