Sri Lanka lose to Bangladesh

Sri Lanka suffered their first defeat in the under 17 Asia Cup cricket tournament when they lost to Bangladesh by 38 runs at the Ukku Stadium in India yesterday.

Winning the toss Sri Lanka inserted Bangladesh to bat first and dismissed them for 177 in 41.1 overs. Shalika Karunanayake and Sachinthra Serasinghe did most of the damage taking seven wickets between them.

Sri Lanka in reply could muster only 139 in 37.4 overs.
