J. J. Kumar shoots 4 under by Richard Dwight Jeya Kumar played exceptional golf in the first of two preliminary rounds in the inaugural 'Golf Challenge', which commenced at the RCGC yesterday. Jeya Kumar a member of the Sri Lanka team shot 4 under par 67 to lead the field with Bangladesh amateur champ and Sri Lanka team captain Lalith Kumara close behind with a 3 under 68. Along with Anura Rohana, the Asian Circuit pro golfer on 68 as well. Nandasena Perera too did well to have a 2 under par 69. Jeya Kumar did extremely well to be 6 under par after 15 holes having birdied the 10th, 11th, 14th, and 15th to add to his 2 under par front nine holes. He however dropped shots on the 16th and 18th lead his playing partner Anura Rohana by one. |
