Jayawardena and Tillekeratne make centuries

Skipper Mahela Jayawardena and Tillekeratne Dilshan completed centuries as North Central Province took a massive first innings lead of 217 runs on the third day of their inter provincial cricket tournament match against the Western Province team continued at the SSC grounds, Maitland Place yesterday.

Jayawardena hit a top score of 177 with four sixes and 18 fours while Dilshan's knock of 123 was studded with two sixes and fourteen boundaries.

In addition Kumara Dharmasena missed his century by just one run having struck two sixes and a dozen of fours.

Western Province: 330 and 63 for 3 (Michael van Dort 24, Kumara Dharmasena 2 for 13)

North Central Province: 547 (Mahela Jayawardena 177, Tillekeratne Dilshan 123, Kumara Dharmasena 99, Kaushalya Lokuarachchi 2 for 155, Dinuka Hettiarachchi 5 for 163, Russel Arnold 2 for 34) C.D.
