Ace AC overall champs in Hyderabad

Ace Athletic Club won the overall championship in their dual track and field athletic meet against the Andhra Pradesh Athletic Association organised by the Hyderabad District Athletic Association and held at the Lalbahadur Stadium in Hyderabad recently.

Ace Athletic Club collected a total of 436 points winning 46 gold medals, 51 silver medals and 43 bronze medals. Over 65 athletes from Ace Sports Club participated in this meet in the under 12, under 14, under 16, under 18, under 20 and open men's and women's events.

Tissa Samarasinghe accompanied the team as the chef de mission and Ananda Athukorale was the manager of the team. Dileema Peterson was the coach cum lady chaperon while H. M. Upali, Keerthi Abayawickerama and Sumith Jayantha accompanied the team as assistant managers.

In addition I. D. Premasiri and Anura Bandara also join the team as coaches.
