Upward trend on Bourse continues

The upward trend in the Colombo Stock Market continued yesterday with the All Share Price Index increasing to 1,115 points up by 41.0 points and the Milanka Price Index by 85.46 to 2,008 points.

Turnover for the day was Rs 174.45 million. Domestic purchases for the day were Rs 147.42 million and foreign purchase were Rs 26.6 million.

Total Return Indices (TRI) on the All Share Price Index was 1,225.2 points and TRI on Milanka was 2,008.7 points.

Large parcels of SLT, JKH and Asian Hotels were traded yesterday.

Pegasus Hotels, AMW, Reefcomber and Vanik Incorporation Limited were among the top five gainers.

Riverina Hotel announced a rights issue at Rs 20 on a proportion of two to five.
