by Nadira Gunatilleke The dance and ballet panel of the Sri Lanka Arts Council have made arrangements to prepare a register of professional dancers in Sri Lanka with the sponsorship of the Department of Cultural Affairs, the Director, Cultural Affairs, Lakshman Perera said. He said that the catalogue would be prepared in two phases. The two sections of the National professional dancers' catalogue will be included the dancers in the age group of 25 to 40 and above. The professional dancers who wish to get registered themselves should send their bio-data through Grama Seva Niladhari and the Divisional Secretary of the relevant areas. Bio-data should be sent to the Director, Cultural Affairs, the Department of Cultural Affairs, 8th Floor, Sethsiripaya, Battaramulla as soon as possible. Kalayatanas, organisations, schools and individual artistes who wish to take part in the State Dance Festival 2004 can obtain applications from the above address. The closing date for the applications is January 31, 2004. |
