Dilmah promotes Lankan tea at cricket series Dilmah Tea, sponsors of the Sri Lanka national cricket team offered a cup of Ceylon's Finest Tea to spectators at the England-Sri Lanka series. Dilmah set up tea stands at each of the venues of the Test cricket series against England, refreshing spectators with a choice of Iced and Hot Teas. The presence of Sri Lanka's national beverage at cricket events was hailed by Sri Lankans and foreign spectators. Dilmah is making sure that they pander to the tastes of local and foreign tea drinkers by presenting an array of teas, and hot Ceylon, English Breakfast, Ceylon Supreme, Earl Grey and Lemon. In the current series against England, not withstanding the reputation of the infamous English sheering squad, the 'Barmy Army', as impressive beer drinkers, the British reputation for tea consumption has been no less impressive. The availability of pure Ceylon tea, the World's finest, has been welcomed by many of the English fans. Importantly, the Dilmah Tea stands, also serve to educate tourists visiting Sri Lanka on enjoyment of a fine cuppa and the island's heritage as producer home of the World's finest tea. Dilmah is Sri Lanka's first global brand, with a presence in 90 countries around the world. Dilmah remains a family business founded by Merrill J. Fernando, currently chairman of MJF Group. |
