Vajpayee to attend SAARC NEW DELHI, Thursday (Reuters) Indian Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee on Thursday confirmed he would travel to Islamabad next month for a regional summit, a trip that could speed peace moves with nuclear rival Pakistan. Vajpayee wrote to his Pakistani counterpart, Zafarullah Khan Jamali, saying he would take part in the summit which begins on January 4, an Indian foreign ministry spokesman said. |
