AMW inducts graduates Private sector employment for graduates is equally good for graduates who look for government sector jobs. They being educated persons are in a position to learn fast and learn how to communicate effectively, said Deputy Chairman/Managing Director of Associated Motorways Limited Tilak de Zoysa. He was addressing graduates at his office who have commenced their management training programme and those who were appointed as executives in company service after their training. De Zoysa who is also the Chairman of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce stated that he is committed to graduate employment programme, as the person who is fully involved in the programme from the beginning. He instructed Directors of the company to act as mentors during the programme. Director/General Manager Ranjan de Silva said recently Yamaha Motor Company of Japan wanted the company to employ a person at Anuradhapura for a clean water project on behalf of Yamaha Motor Company Japan and the company opted to employ a graduate from Anuradhapura for that. Five new Sarasavi Sawiya graduates were given their letters of appointment and five more graduates who completed their training programmes were given appointments as executives in the company Director Finance Eric Abeysiriwardena, Senior Deputy General Manager Mrs. J. Jayasinghe, Personnel Manager and Human Resources Manager Marcus Liyanage and Leo Samson were present on the occasion. |
