Bank of Ceylon Male' branch shifted

by N. U. Abdul Razzak in Maldives

The Bank of Ceylon - Male' Branch which was located at Orchid Magu in the City of Male' was shifted to its new premises Aage at Bodu Thakurufanu Magu a few weeks ago. The Male' branch at this sophisticated building was opened by the Maldivian Minister of State for Finance and Treasury Mohammed Jaleel.

The Bank of Ceylon Male' branch which was established 21 years ago has been actively get engaged in banking extending its services to the Maldives and to the expatriates especially the Sri Lankans who work in this country.

The country Manager Dole who made the welcome address pointed out that he was proud to see that this Male' Branch has fulfilled its role as an overseas Bank in the Republic of Maldives in the development of its economy.

Maldivian Minister of Planning and National Development Mr. Ibrahim Zaki, the High Commissioner for Sri Lanka in the Maldives T. Z. A. Samsudeen, the Directress of Maldives Monetary Authority Khadeeja Hassan the General Manager of Bank of Ceylon Mr. S. N. P. Palihena, the Deputy General Manager Nimal Dias and Roy Jayasundara were among the special invitees.
