Official soucrces at Colombo Police Headquarters said that Senior DIG M. B. L. Liyanage had been appointed as senior DIG Ranges (2), DIG H. M. S. Herath as DIG Colombo, DIG H. A. J. S. K. Wickremaratne as DIG Crimes, Criminal Intelligence and Police Narcotic Bureau, and DIG B. K. G. Navaratne DIG IT Range to act as DIG Police Headquarters in addition to his present assignment. SSP D.C.Kariyawasam will be the Director Recruiting Office, SSP R. A. P. de C. Ranaweera Director In-Service Training of Police Higher Training Institute, who will assume duties on his return from Sierra Leone. SSP H. K. S. Pinidiya has been appointed as Director Colombo Fraud Investigation Bureau, SP A. R. Waidyalankara to Directorate of Foreign Intelligence, and temporary ASP K. G. Ratnayaka Banda to Sri Lanka Police Reserve Headquarters. With effect from December 16, 2003, SSP E. D. M. Hettiarachchi will take office as Director Headquarters Administration, SSP T. Wanigaratne as Director Crimes, B. A. D. A. Wijewardena as Commandant Home Guards Division, SSP Y. G. R. M. Lafeer as SSP City Traffic, and ASP V. T. Sundaralingam as ASP Traffic in Western Province North Range, Kelaniya. SSP W. P. Dayaratne has been appointed to Kuliyapitiya Division, SSP M. K. Sugathadasa to Tangalle Division , SSP Abeynayake to Mount Lavinia Division with effect from January 1, 2004. SSP H. V.P. De Silva and and SSP H.P.Samaradiwakara have been appointed to the Galle and Batticaloe divisions from January 11, 2004. Senior Superintendents of Police, H. E. A. Anthony, D. S. R. Wanaguru, and T. M. A. Senanayake have been assigned to Mounted Division, Jaffna Division, and Transport Division repectively, from February 9, 2004. |
