PM sends condolences to Saudi King Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, in a condolence message to His Majesty King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, Custodian of two Holly Mosqus of Saudi Arabia. Your Majesty, I am deeply shocked over the suicide car bombing in Riyadh resulting in the tragic loss of innocent lives and property particularly in the month of Holly Ramadan, the Month of Mercy and Peace. We condemn unreservedly this despicable act of terrorism. Please accept, Your Majesty, our sympathies and extend condolences to the families of the bereaved." Meanwhile, the Sri Lankan Ambassador in Saudi Arabia, I Ansar informs that so far no report of any Sri Lankan casualties and that he is constantly in touch with local authorities in Riyadh, to offer if any assistance may be required nationals of Sri Lanka. |
