The Katina ceremony began this year on Saturday October 25 with a Buddha Puja and Maha Pirita. These activities were continued the following day with a Sangha Dana and Katina Chivara Puja. Monks participating in the ceremony in addition to the two Vassa monks were: Ven. Raddoluwe Wimalawansa, Viharadipati of the Kataniya Buddhist Vihara in Italy; Ven. The Buddha's message was intended for all human beings, and it is a good example from the Berlin Buddhist Vihara." The Katina ceremony was organised by Ven.
