Sarath Karunatilake passes away

Well known cricketer and soccerite Sarath Karunatilake who was the vice president of the Sri Lanka Softball Association died yesterday following a heart attack.

He represented several clubs at soccer including Ratnam Sports Club and played cricket for Essex for 10 years while in England. He was 49 years old at the time of his death.

His remains lie at the Jayaratne Funeral Parlour Borella. The funeral takes place tomorrow (5) at the General Cemetery Kanatte.
