European delegations for EU-Sri Lanka Partenariat Several European organisations have confirmed their interest to bring business delegations for the EU-Sri Lanka Partenariat event The EU-Sri Lanka Partenariat, a two-day business matchmaking event will be held on June 3 and 4, 2004 at the BMICH. The sectors covered by this event are infrastructure, agro foods, IT and electronics, machinery and light engineering, education services and leisure sectors. This event aims to attract approximately 100 European firms to meet 150 select local firms. The Partenariat aims to develop and strengthen bilateral business links between Sri Lanka and the EU by way of trade, investment, transfer of technology, joint ventures, sales and marketing co-operation. The identification and selection of Sri Lankan and European companies to participate in the EU - Sri Lanka Partenariat 2004 is currently under way and the following European trade promotion organisations have already confirmed their interest to bring business delegations from Europe: British Chamber of Commerce, UK; Mondimpresa S.C.P.A., Italy; EIC - Direccion General de Politica de la Pyme, Spain; IHK (Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry), Germany; Assemblee des Chambres Francaises de Commerce et d'Industrie (ACFCI), France; North Denmark EU Office, Denmark; Chambre de Commerce du Grand-Duche de Luxembourg, Luxembourg; Netherlands Council for Trade Promotion (NCH), Netherlands; Bragan Contracts Ltd, Ireland; SEVE-Exporters Association of Northern Greece, Greece and the Chamber of Commerce & Industry of the Centre Region of Portugal (CEC/CCIC), Portugal. |
