Sri Lanka's Board of Investment (BoI) has been rated as the best Investment Promotion Agency (IPA) in the Indian sub-continent and been bestowed with two more awards by the prestigious and influential Euro Money Group's Strategic Director Investor's (SDI) inaugural Asia Pacific IPA Awards 2003, a spokesman of BoI told Lankapuvath.

According to SDI, Sri Lanka's BoI is the best in IPA in the Indian subcontinent while Foreign Investment Promotion Board of India and Pakistan Board of Investment were the runners-up, he said.

BoI's Chairman and Director General, Arjuna Mahendran has also won the runners-up award in the category CEO lifetime achievement award while BoI's web site was the runners-up in the best IPA web site in Asia Pacific. The lifetime achievement award was won by Singapore EDB's Philip Yeo while the best web site in Asia Pacific was won by Invest Australia.

With 13 nominations and nine wins between them Invest Hong Kong and Singapore Economic Development Board have been awarded with SDI's inaugural Asia Pacific IPA Awards 2003.
