CR in thrilling 35-34 win

CR and FC scored a thrilling 35 points to 34 win over Sri Lanka Army SC in their Caltex inter club A division league rugby tournament second round match played at Longden Place yesterday.

CR and FC collected their points from two goals, three tries and two penalties having led 19-17 at half time. Army SC responded with four goals and two penalties. Winger Kishan Musafer scored two tries for CR and FC while S. Jayasinghe, M. Mushtaq and O. Thuruwa scored a try each with Roshan Peiris converting two tries and also putting over two penalties.

Ian Simele and P. Watukeha scored two tries each for Army SC with T. A. Silva adding the extra points and also putting over two penalties. NIzam Jamaldeen refereed.
