Another informant killed Another Tamil informant of the Security Forces and a former member of the Varathar Wing of the Eelam People's Revolutionary Front (EPRLF) was shot dead allegedly by the LTTE on Saturday evening. The incident took place a day after two international human rights organisations, International Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International accused the LTTE of using the ongoing ceasefire to murder their political opponents. According to Police sources, the civilian had been killed at Sangamam road, Akkaraipattu while he was returning home in a push bicycle. Two gunmen are reported to have come on a mortorbike committed the crime, sources added. |
