Enlistment of new recruits to Army

The enlistment of new recruits to the Sri Lanka Army (Regular Force) will commence on August 18 and continue until September 19 at islandwide Army camps and Divisional Secretariats.

Unmarried Sri Lankan citizens between 18-24 years of age, not less than 5 ft. 4 inches in height and have passed at least the 8th Grade (year 9) are eligible to be present at the interviews for recruitment. a Defence Ministry release stateds.

Those attending these interviews are required to produce birth certificate, school leaving certificate (student index card), Grama Sevaka certificate, two character certificates, a recognized identity card and all other certificates if any.
