Can the formidable CH and FC make a dent on champions Kandy SC's unbeaten record? The answer to this question will be found only this evening when these two teams clash in the Caltex 'A' Division League tournament match at Maitland Crescent at 4.20 p.m. today.

The SLRFU had fixed this game for the last week-end expecting it to be the grand finale of the 'A' Division League but due to Kandy's dominance this match will be only of academic interest.

A terrific tussle for supremacy can be expected up front with Kandy's power-packed forwards Galgamuwa, Malith Silva, Jayasena, Tulagaese, Wijesinghe and Selvam being confronted by equally good forwards in Cooray, Ranaweera, Lewke, Thalagalarachchi, Wijesinghe and Fred Moe.

But the lads from Kandy possess a superior back division. In Nilfer Ibrahim and Sajith Mallikarachchi they have a superb halves combination. In Samoan Ifata Tema and Chamara Vithanage they have two hard running centres while on the wing they will have the services of that powerful runner sturdily built Radhika Hettiarachchi with Nalaka Weerakkody joining the line to form the overlap.

It is left to be seen how CH's halves combination of Milinda Jayasinghe and Dinuka Jayasinghe will fare today.

If they click CH three quarters too could penetrate the Kandy defence as they have that powerful runner Jim Bolokoro who has stood out this season with some daring runs.
