Rashomi Silva reporting from China Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe will arrive in Xiamen today. He is expected to visit the Amosonic Electronic Company Limited, the giant electronic company in China. He will thereafter call on Xiamen Mayor at the Country Hall. The Premier will be hosted to a dinner at the International Hall of Xiamen later. In the course of the tour Premier will also attend a large scale China-Lanka Investors' Conference in Beijin. The Premier will pay special attention to medium and small scale industrial investments in this country with emphasis on rubber, plastic and software sectors. He will also discuss the subject of providing necessary facilities in Sri Lanka for the large scale investors. A number of large scale investors, even by now, have expressed their willingness to invest in Sri Lanka. The Premier's current visit to China is expected to bring in a tremendous impetus in the field of commercial investment in the country. |
