Leszek Miller, Prime Minister of Poland, in New Delhi, in February 2003 said "Polish coal mining and power generating equipment, ship-building, machine tools, transport and farm equipment have all proved helpful to the Indian economy. This is also true of Polish defence equipment supplied to India. Poland has made a notable contribution to the economic development of India, since regaining its independence, through the construction of 13 coal mines and 12 power plants in the country and supplying 50 ships to India". |
